Norwood Trails

Norwood’s beautiful, scenic trails offer the community places to walk, explore and enjoy nature—from quiet woodlands to peaceful riverbanks. Much of this network is made possible by the tireless efforts of the Norwood Trails Advisory Committee and its volunteers, who help map, maintain and improve our trails, build crossings and create connections between natural areas.

We recommend reading a trail’s brochure before exploring it for important information about access, route details and conditions. Trail routes are approximate and based on available data. If you find an error, please contact us so we can improve the map.

A town-wide vision: the Tiot Trail

The Norwood Trails Advisory Committee is working toward an approximately 18-mile loop around Norwood, linking local trails and natural areas into a connected town-wide route.

Water crossings are a key part of that work. A 2026 project update describes a vision for 13 crossings to help bridge gaps caused by drainage channels, streams and wet ground. Completed crossings include work in Pine Tree Forest/Vanderbilt and the Meadow Street network, with additional connections still being developed.

The complete loop is a developing plan. The town-wide map should not be read as confirmation that every segment is finished or continuously accessible. Consult the Town’s current information and individual trail brochures before exploring.
